Wouldn't it be a luxury to have your own health and beauty team at your disposal?
Not every day, of course, but maybe someone to shampoo and blow-dry your hair once a week?
With busy lives, our daily routines working out, eating right, even brushing your teeth can get off track. That's why Hollywood types, such as actress Brooke Shields, have "people" to help get them back on track.
Shields, who is the face of Colgate's Total Advanced Whitening toothpaste, has popped up on TV to talk about her hectic lifestyle and how brushing her teeth is an important part of her daily routine.
It's a no-brainer that Colgate seized the opportunity to focus its attention on the rest of us, who don't have anyone to remind us to floss and brush.
That's where Brooke's Healthy Upgrade Team comes in. The team is a group of experts who offer tips on how to make practical changes to our daily routines.
For example:
Jeanne Yang: She's a fashion and beauty stylist with 5-year-old twins. Her tip? Carry a small bottle of jojoba oil in your bag. Rub it into nails and cuticles to moisturize, or apply a few drops to hair before putting in a ponytail.
Dr. Michele Dozier: She's a practicing dentist in Baltimore. Her tip? Substitute oranges, pineapple and kiwi for blueberries and cherries to prevent tooth stains. All these fruits are rich in antioxidants.
Stacey Griffith: She's the founder of SoulCycle, an indoor cycling studio in New York City. Her tip? Turn on the music and dance! Even while washing dishes. It's a quick cardio boost.

Minerals a must
Mineral makeup is nothing new. Consumers can find it in everything from high-end lines (Jane Iredale) to drugstore brands (L'Oréal). Now M.A.C cosmetics is getting on board, with the recent launch of three collections that include eye shadow (Electroflash), blush (Sonic Chic) and a foundation powder (New View).
According to M.A.C, the formulations are "baked," not "fried." That's supposed to keep the colors from going gray on the skin.
The New View powder ($26.50) has both a natural and a shimmer finish in the same compact. The shimmer adds a nice highlight to cheeks and brows. The natural powder provides a matte finish. It comes in five shades to complement any skin tone.
The Sonic Chic blush ($30) comes in nine colors, several of which feature pink, gold and bronze. These shades will transition to fall and pair nicely with the powder foundation.
