DEAR SHOPPING: I am 60 years old. In the last five years the spider veins on my legs have become more noticeable. Is there a makeup designed to conceal the veins?
Ann, Lincoln
DEAR ANN: Sally Hansen Healing Beauty Airbrush Legs ($12.99) is a spray-on product that comes in several shades to match your skin tone. It's basically makeup for your legs that's water-resistant and helps hide imperfections. I've used it because I'm prone to banging my legs on my desk and getting bruises. This product contains vitamin K, and it will hide imperfections, including freckles, veins and the aforementioned bruises. As with self-tanners, allow time for it to dry before you dress.
DEAR SHOPPING: Clinique has discontinued the color Cinnamon in its cream lip liner with the brush on one end (a real bonus for a lazy person). Can you help me find a similar color that's not too red or too brown? Also, a tip for readers: Urban Decay's eye shadow base is by far the best product. I have deep-set, oily eyelids and this product keeps my eye makeup in place without changing color throughout the day.
Misty, Sacramento
DEAR MISTY: Clinique's new Defining Liner for Lips doesn't have a brush, but it does have a built-in sharpener, which is also a bonus. However, a sales associate at Nordstrom Arden Fair says the Chocolate Chip Quickliner ($14) is your best bet for a sub for the Cinnamon liner.
