Controller John Chiang is pushing Lottery Director Joan Boruki to pay back the 46 thousand dollars for a lavish staff party late last year to the lottery system. California Attorney General Jerry Brown is touting his efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through agreements with local governments on their land use planning and construction standard requirements but is unwilling to state that local governments should curtail airport expansion projects.
