Political rivals Mark Leno and Carole Migden who are vying for the same senate seat in June and Assemblyman Sandre Swanson will call for a ban of aerial spraying in urban areas for the light brown apple moth. A group of Republican party officials is formally announcing today the formation of the California Republicans United for Tomorrow (CRAFT). Fish Eating Guidelines The Office of Environmental Health Hazards Assessments will issue its draft report on safe eating guidelines for sport fish caught in the Sacramento River system from Shasta to San Joaquin Counties. The report will detail how much fish can safely be eaten to avoid mercury contamination and how the fish should be cooked to eliminate risk of mercury contamination.
Buddhist Pro Tibet Rally The Sacramento area Buddhist community will conduct a peace rally at the Capitol Park Rose Garden pleading for the rights of the people of Tibet and citing demands on the Chinese government.
Subprime Lending Luncheon-The League of California Cities African American Caucus hosts a luncheon today to discuss sub-prime mortgage lending practices and the impact f the mortgage crisis on the African American Community.
Clean Technology Luncheon- The Sacramento Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce will discuss the future of so-called Green Technology, utility rebate programs.
Alzheimer's Rally Alzheimer's Disease victims and their supporters will rally this afternoon at the capitol, in opposition to proposed state budget cuts they say could slow progress against the disease.

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is in Alameda for a budget reform event. He will fly to New York City this evening for a Thursday event in Manhattan.
