1. CAPITOL EVACUATION DRILL VO/SOT

The state capitol will be evacuated tomorrow morning, as part of the state's Earthquake/Emergency Preparedness month. Everyone in the capitol building at the time of the mid-morning drill (the exact time is not announced in advance) is invited to participate in the exercise. Efforting soundbites and video.

2. WHAT PRICE RICE? VO/SOT

Feeding soundbites with Assemblyman Doug La Malfa, who is also a rice farmer, and file video of a northern California rice farm. La Malfa will discuss his views on what's causing the current surge in rice prices, whether the prices for rice and other commodities have started top follow a never-ending price spiral, and if food shortages will prompt countries to re-consider their ban on genetically modified foods.

3. DOGGIE BLOOD BANK VO/SOT

The Veterinary School at the University of California at Davis is attempting to increase the stock of its canine blood bank. The blood bank was established in February to collect blood needed for transfusions and other treatments. Efforting soundbites and video.
