Preventing forest fires is in hands of Congress

California wildfires are increasingly destructive natural disaster, as the Sherpa Fire, Erskine Fire and Trailhead Fire have proven in recent weeks. But Congress continues to bicker rather than let the U.S. Forest Service devote more of its budget to forest fire management.
