The death of a grandchild and how Child Protective Services restricts vital information

Doug Haaland’s frustration in dealing with CPS began with the devastation of learning about the death of his grandson and continues today with the recent effort by the California Department of Social Services to restrict the ability of the public to have access to important information. It all began in 1999 when he received a phone call and was told his 4-year-old grandson was dead.
