If you can picture this: And now for something completely different. Today, we feature pictures instead of words.
We took photographs of interesting places and things that have appeared (in words) in this column over the last year or so.
We want you to see how many you can identify. Most of these can be seen along some of the busiest roadways in Arden, Carmichael and Old Foothill Farms.
You earn one point for knowing where the photo was taken, another for knowing what its significance is. That's more or less the same as why we wrote about it in the first place.
Send us your answers by e-mail and get them to us by Sept. 8. Readers do not need to identify all the photos to enter.
The person with the most points wins his or her choice of:
• An Arden Arcade cityhood shirt.
• Or coffee and a pastry with yours truly, the columnist.
In the event that there's a tie for the most points, the winner will be the one whose entry arrives first.
The winner will be announced Sept. 18, along with correct answers concerning the photos.

• Do not copy and paste outside material into the comment box.
• Don't repeat the same comment over and over. We heard you the first time.
• Do not use the commenting system for advertising. That's spam and it isn't allowed.
• Don't use all capital letters. That's akin to yelling and not appreciated by the audience.

You are more likely to see inappropriate comments before our staff does, so we ask that you click the "report abuse" button to submit those comments for moderator review.
