Two men in Carmichael who were suspected of selling and buying drugs were arrested and a weapon and ammunition were found, according to a report made by a Sacramento County sheriff's deputy.
The report said the two men were seen engaging in a narcotics transaction at 7:47 p.m. April 23 in a parking lot on Marconi Avenue near Walnut Avenue.
A 69-year-old witness told deputies he witnessed the transaction, the report said.
After deputies approached the two, they detained one man, identified as Richard Colter, 19, and recovered several multicolored Ecstasy pills in his possession, the report said.
The other suspect, Yazid Ayyad, 20, fled but was detained a short time later. A search of Ayyad's car uncovered ammunition, a handgun, marijuana, a digital scale and multiple plastic bags, the report said.
Also recovered from Ayyad's car were several more pills and a collapsible baton, the report said.
A couple were accosted in Foothill Farms by two people, one of whom was armed, deputies reported.
At 2:25 p.m. April 24, the couple were standing in a parking lot on Madison Avenue near Manzanita Avenue, the report said.
The couple, a 41-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman, were approached by two people described to be about 17.
One of them pulled a gun out of his backpack and pointed it in the direction of the couple, the report said.
The teens then fled, the report said.
A 25-year-old man was punched while sitting in his car, which was parked in the Arden Arcade area, a deputy reported.
At 5:15 a.m. April 25, the victim was sitting in his car in a parking lot on Edison Avenue near Fulton Avenue, the report said.
Two people then approached the car, opened the door and punched the victim numerous times. The victim was able to get out of his vehicle and run away, the report said.
The suspects then got in the victim's car and drove off, the report said.
A 45-year-old man riding a bicycle at night without a light was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs, a deputy reported.
At 12:07 a.m. April 27, Robert St. Clair was stopped on Auburn Boulevard near Madison Avenue, the report said.
St. Clair was riding without a headlight and a rear reflector when he was contacted by deputies, the report said.
A search of his pockets revealed a glass narcotic pipe and a small bag containing an off-white, crystal-like substance suspected to be a narcotic, the report said.
