Redding police are looking for information about a fight between two women at a motel that ended in one woman's death Wednesday.
Police were called at 6:52 p.m. to Capri Motel on Westside Road off Highway 273 about a disturbance, a police news release states.
Officers were flagged down by a man in a motel room who pointed them to the body of a woman lying on the floor, the release states.
Paramedics confirmed the woman's death, but the cause of her death remains undetermined.
Officers found three people inside the room and took them to the police department for questioning.
The investigation revealed the woman died after a fight with another woman, police said.
Linda Sue Aguilar, 58, of Redding was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Preliminary results from an autopsy conducted Thursday by the Shasta County Coroner's Office were inconclusive as to a cause of death. Toxicology results will not be in for at least four weeks, police said.
Authorities said as a result, Aguilar was released from custody Thursday pending the final determination by the coroner's office.
