Officers of the Sacramento Police Department's North Command may not have swept the streets clean of criminals Friday, but they showed a penchant for variety as they netted suspects in a hit-and-run DUI, a vandalism, a burglary and arrested a suspected parolee at large.
Here's how the events went down according to crime summaries:
At about 9:20 a.m. in the 1900 block Delgado Way, patrol units caught a vandalism suspect in the spray painting of a fence and a city bridge. The 19-year-old suspect was cited for misdemeanor vandalism.
At about the same time in the 4500 block of Tynebourne Street, officers arrested a juvenile in a burglary.
At about 6:46 p.m. near Del Paso Boulevard and Taft Street, patrol units saw a vehicle hit a pedestrian and then flee. California Highway Patrol units joined the hunt and found the driver, who officers determined to be drunk.
The passenger was found turned out to be a parolee at large. Both were arrested.
The pedestrian was transferred to the UCD Medical Center with moderate injuries.
