Need a horse that has been to college? Make plans to attend the Feather River Community College 15th Annual Production Horse Sale featuring horses trained by students of the FRC Equine Studies Program. This live auction will consist of top Quarter Horse bloodlines and versatile riding horses trained by specially selected students who have worked with these horses on a daily basis. Students ride their sale horse in classes, travel to horse shows, work on cattle ranches, ride horses on trails, and work with top trainers such as Les Vogt, Nick Dowers, Jim, Luke, and Bryan Neubert. All horses are guaranteed sound. Make plans to attend the Production Horse Sale on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Feather River College Equine Facility in Quincy, CA. The sale day preview will begin at 9 a.m. and the auction will begin at 1 p.m. In addition to the sale, buyers have the opportunity to attend a special versatility preview and student competition on Friday, May 17th at 1:00 pm where students will show their sale horses over trail obstacles, work and rope cattle, and compete for the title of FRC Versatility Champion. Other events for those who attend include a free horse training demonstration, silent auction with items donated by local businesses and community members, and food concessions. Proceeds benefit the Feather River College Foundation: Equine Studies Program. For additional information about the horses, sale catalog, or how to become a FRC student yourself, call Crystal at (530) 283-0202 or 1-800-442-9799 ext. 272 or go to www.frc.edu/equinestudies.
