The following information was provided by the Elk Grove Police Department, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department and the Cosumnes Community Services District Fire Department from reports available for public review.

• 68th Avenue and Power Inn Road, near Florin Road, arrest. Calvin Haynes, 26, was arrested at 8:44 p.m. Aug. 19 on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale, resisting arrest and possession or purchase of cocaine for sale. Officers reportedly saw Haynes take part in a narcotics transaction. When officers tried to contact him, he allegedly ran away. A police dog and helicopter found a vacant house with a broken glass sliding door. Officers entered the home and heard Haynes running upstairs, according to reports. He then reportedly leaped onto the roof from a second-story window. He then tried to jump into an adjacent yard and was detained after a brief struggle, said officers. Three rocks of cocaine were reportedly found on Haynes. A larger cocaine rock and marijuana packaged for sale were found on the roof where he was seen climbing out the window, according to reports.

• French and Gerber roads, rape. A woman was raped in her home at 6:30 a.m. Aug. 20.

• 7300 block of Florin Woods Drive, Florin Road and Highway 99, arrest. A 16-year-old girl was arrested at 10:49 p.m. Aug. 20 on suspicion of resisting arrest.

• 7500 block of Andrewsarah Court, Gerber Road and Stockton Boulevard, arrest. Omar Hassan, 25, was arrested at 7:18 p.m. Aug. 21 on suspicion of possessing marijuana for sale and violating probation. Deputies responded to a call about someone possibly selling narcotics from a suspicious vehicle at an apartment complex. The vehicle was found a short distance away, parked on a sidewalk, with Hassan in the driver's seat. A probation search uncovered money on Hassan, while marijuana was discovered in the vehicle, according to reports.

• River Road and Bridge Street, Walnut Grove, arrest. Juan Cortez, 19, was arrested at 9:30 p.m. Aug. 21 on suspicion of vandalism. Employees with the Sacramento County Transportation Department heard loud banging coming from outside their office. Employees went outside and saw Cortez standing in front of a damaged security door. He walked away but returned when a deputy arrived and was arrested, according to reports.

• 7300 block of Alden Way, near French and Florin roads, arrest. A 16-year-old boy was arrested at 8:50 a.m. Aug. 22 on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. The boy was arguing with a 15-year-old boy at a group home where they both live. The older boy struck the younger one in the head several times with a metal curtain rod. He also hit him with a metal pot and microwave oven. The younger boy, who had no visible injuries but whose face was red, was taken to a hospital as a precaution, according to reports.

• East Stockton Boulevard and Sheldon Road, Elk Grove, arrest. Ying Vue, 25, and Kong Her, 21, were arrested at 3:28 p.m. Aug. 22 on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance for sale and transportation of a controlled substance. Vue was stopped for a vehicle code violation when officers searched him and found narcotics, reports said. A search of the vehicle revealed additional narcotics where Her was seated, according to reports.

• 8300 block of Power Inn Road, Elk Grove, arrest. A 15-year-old boy was arrested at 1:26 a.m. Aug. 23 on suspicion of driving a stolen vehicle and receiving stolen property. The boy was contacted after he was spotted loitering around a parked Toyota Camry. A check of the Camry revealed it had been reported stolen, according to reports.

• 7500 block of Townhall Way, near Florin and French roads, assault with a firearm. A woman was inside a house at 2:55 a.m. Aug. 23 when someone fired shots at the home. One of the shots went through the front exterior wall and hit her in the legs. She was taken to a hospital for her injuries, according to reports.
