The following was provided by the Elk Grove Police Department, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department and the Cosumnes Community Services District Fire Department from reports available for public review.

• 8200 block of Rebekah Court, Churchill Downs, arrest. A 15-year-old boy was arrested at 2:10 p.m. Sept. 17 on suspicion of burglary and receiving stolen property. Someone entered a woman's home through a window and removed property. A witness saw three juveniles jump the fence and run away. Deputies were unable to find the suspects. A school resource officer arrested the boy after he bragged about being behind the burglary and was found with the victim's property, according to reports.

• 7200 block of Lindale Drive, Florin Road and Stockton Boulevard, carjacking. At 8:47 p.m. Sept. 17, a man threatened a man with a gun and took his vehicle.

• 9200 block of Gem Crest Way, Elk Grove, gas leak. At 8 a.m. Sept. 18, firefighters responded to a gas leak and contacted Pacific Gas and Electric Co.

• 9500 block of Racquet Court, Elk Grove, gas leak. At 10:06 a.m. Sept. 18, firefighters responded to a gas leak and controlled it until PG&E responded.

• Power Inn Road and Scottsdale Drive, near Florin Road, arrest. Marvin Barksdale, 19, was arrested at 8:45 p.m. Sept. 18 on suspicion of possessing marijuana for sale and possessing a controlled substance. Barksdale was detained after reportedly walking on Power Inn Road at night in the oncoming traffic lane. Officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from him. Narcotics wrapped in a plastic bag were found in his pants pocket, according to reports. A plastic bag containing 22 smaller bags of marijuana was also reportedly found during a search. Money was found in his shoe and pants pocket, officers said.

• 9100 block of West Stockton Blvd., Laguna Creek, arrest. Angelito Guzman, 22, was arrested at 4:52 p.m. Sept. 19 on suspicion of grand theft. Guzman, an Old Navy employee, was detained by loss prevention prevention officers on suspicion of theft, according to reports. Police arrested him.

• 8500 block of Dewberry Way, Elk Grove, arrest. Michael Paganucci, 22, was arrested at 5:47 p.m. Sept. 19 on a warrant.

• 9700 block of Bradshaw Road, Elk Grove, animal rescue. At 9:50 a.m. Sept. 21, firefighters rescued a cat from a tree.

• 7800 block of Orchard Woods Circle, Gerber and Power Inn roads, shooting. At 9:23 p.m. Sept. 19, someone fired bullets into a man's vehicle parked in front of his home. Two bullets entered the house, striking a reclining chair where the man was seated with his child. A motorcycle was heard. No one was injured.

• 9039 Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove, arrest. Rodney Greathouse, 36, was arrested at 11:09 p.m. Sept. 19 on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest and public intoxication. Police were called to Bob's Club about an intoxicated man who was being argumentative with employees. Greathouse went outside, where he allegedly challenged a man to a fight and displayed an open folding knife, according to reports. Greathouse ran, but a police dog was sent after him, and he was taken into custody.

• 7600 block of Skander Way, near Power Inn and Gerber roads, arrest. Eleanore Gray, 49, was arrested at 9 p.m. Sept. 20 on suspicion of endangering the health of a child, willful abandonment of a child younger than 14 and possession of narcotics paraphernalia.

• 8499 Gerber Road, near Power Inn Road, robbery. At 9:02 p.m. Sept. 20, a man with two kitchen knives went into the 7-Eleven and demanded money from the clerk.

• Latrobe Way and Stonehouse Road, Rancho Murieta, arrest. Edileusa P. Alves, 26, was arrested 4:50 p.m. Sept. 21 on suspicion of manslaughter.

• 9300 block of Marlemont Circle, Laguna West, arrest. Jerry Lewis Henton, 23, was arrested at 1:17 p.m. Sept. 22 on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, crimes against the elderly and a warrant. Henton allegedly cut an elderly man on the wrist during an altercation. He then left the home and hit a 76-year-old man who was walking down the street, according to reports.
