Kids' artwork wins park poster contest

Aidan Low, 5, and Brenda Fang, 12, are first-place winners of the annual "I Love My Park" poster contest sponsored by the Cosumnes Community Services District.

Aidan, who attends John Ehrhardt Elementary School, won in Division I, for ages 5 to 8, for a depiction of Kloss Park.

Brenda, who attends Irene B. West Elementary School, took top honors in Division II, for ages 9 to 12, for her portrayal of Elk Grove Regional Park.

The People's Choice Award, chosen by visitors to the district's Spring "Egg"stravaganza in March, was 5-year-old Madison Beals of Stone Lake Elementary School. She drew Toby and Sue Johnson Park.

Second-place winners were Kallista Caramanoff, 7, of Joseph Sims Elementary and Julie Wong, 10, of Helen Carr Castello Elementary School.

Third place went to Eugene Chiou, 6, and Dan Luu, 9, both students at Elliott Ranch Elementary School.
