More than 80 celebrities and athletes will compete in the American Century Golf Tournament at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course, 100 Lake Parkway, Tuesday to Sunday, July 19-24.
Considered one of the country’s most prestigious and richest celebrity golf events, the American Century raises money for local and national charities. Spectators can roam the perimeter of the course and view the tournament or enjoy the food vendors and take in the Tahoe ambiance.
Comedian Larry the Cable Guy, ex-49er Jerry Rice, Green Bay Packer Aaron Rodgers, and musician-actor Justin Timberlake, to name a few, will be making appearances.

National Park Service turns 100
What: The Fresno Grizzlies minor league baseball team will host the National Park Service’s centennial celebration. Meet rangers and staff from Yosemite, Sequoia and Kings national parks. There’ll be activities involving outdoor recreation and park history and facts.

Sierra Storytelling Festival
What: This all-ages event will celebrate poetry and stories about daily life, with storyteller performances and workshops.
