James Rollins of El Dorado Hills knows something about adventure – both firsthand and vicariously. On the personal level, the globe-trotting novelist is a scuba diver, cave explorer, hiker and traveler.
On the fiction front, he juggles several series, including the vampire trilogy “Order of the Sanguines” with co-author Rebecca Cantrell; the 10-title black-ops “Sigma Force”; and the five-title fantasy “Banned and the Banished,” writing as James Clemens.
“Blood Infernal,” the conclusion of the “Sanguines” trilogy, was published in February (William Morrow, $28, 416 pages) and is the Bee Book Club’s choice for July.
Rollins’ 2014 Sigma Force tale, “The Sixth Extinction,” debuted in paperback June 2 and immediately went to the New York Times best-seller list.
Never miss a local story.
