Pokemon Go may not be the biggest thing in the gaming world anymore, like it was this past summer, but if you still play you may be happy to know that a new Halloween-themed event will be going on from October 26 to November 1.
Players can expect a host of special Halloween-related features in Niantic's GPS-based creature collection game. The update will add special rewards during Halloween, too. You'll also notice more Drowzee and Zubat Pokemon as well.
Here’s what to expect, according to the Business Insider.
- Increased chances of finding Drowzee, Ghastly, Gengar, Golbat, Haunter, Hypno and Zubat, no matter where you are.
- In keeping with the Halloween spirit, trainers will earn six candies for each Pokémon captured instead of three. They'll also get two candies for transferring their Pokémon to the professor instead of one.
- Trainers will earn four candies for Buddy Pokémon instead of just one.
I wouldn't call Pokémon Go dead, but the popularity certainly has died down. Hopefully Halloween makes a nice bounce back for the app.
