Two foreign tourist visiting Yellowstone National Park tried to leave with a baby bison, actually putting the calf in their vehicle and trying to leave.
Another park visitor told EastIdahoNews.com that she saw the tourists, a father and a son, pull up to ta ranger station with the bison in their SUV.
“They were demanding to speak with a ranger,” said Karen Richardson. “They were seriously worried that the calf was freezing and dying.”
The father-son tourists received a ticket, perhaps a slap on the wrist for trying to steal the new United States national mammal.
