Merriment in Midtown: 12 days – 12 fun events

What: Next weekend welcomes the third annual 12 Days of Midtown when the popular Sacramento neighborhood gets gussied up for the holiday season with events and specials sure to cheer any Scrooges in our midst. The festivities are tailored for all ages and showcase many of the businesses throughout the district.

Here's the lineup for the 12 Days:

Saturday: Santa's Workshop, the MARRS Building

Next Sunday: Sacramento Gay Men's Chorus presents "Light Your World Concert," First United Methodist Church

Dec. 3: Girls on the Grid WEAVE toy drive, 58 Degrees & Holding

Dec. 4: Holiday art workshop, Artbeast

Dec. 5: Midtown Business Association holiday party, Kupros Bistro

Dec. 6: Drag Queen Bingo (above photo), Hamburger Patty's

Dec. 7: Holiday cocktails and charity toy drive, the Sutter District

Dec. 8: A Simple Emigrant Christmas, Sutter's Fort State Historic Park

Dec. 9: Holiday Makers Mart, Bows & Arrows

Dec. 10: Santa's Tavern & Hot Toddy Competition, the Golden Bear

Dec. 11: Season of Giving blood drive, Blood Source Midtown

Dec. 12: "The Nutcracker" dancers meet and greet, the Handle District, 1801 L St.
