More holiday parcels for delivery means increased flights into Mather Airport.

United Parcel Service flights to and from Mather Airport will increase this month, airport officials said. Cargo flights at Mather typically average eight daily operations, including both arrivals and departures.

Cargo operations will gradually increase this month, peaking at an average of 25 flights per day from Dec. 16 through Dec. 22.

A gradual return to normal flight operations will begin a couple of days before Christmas. In addition to holiday packages, UPS carries retail stock and manufacturing supplies.
