People living with diabetes can obtain health tips, medical information and encouragement at a daylong conference Saturday.
The nonprofit Taking Control of Your Diabetes is offering the conference and health fair for the second time in Sacramento to help patients tame their diabetes. The event is designed for diabetics and their partners, and aims to provide diabetes education and motivation that may be missing from patients' traditional treatment programs.
The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Sacramento Convention Center, 1515 J St. Admission costs $25, including lunch, and financial aid is available for those who need it.
People wanting to attend can register by calling (800) 998-2693 or visiting www.tcoyd.org.
