Center's new home
What: A grand celebration is planned for the Miller Park Art Complex, the new home for the La Raza Galeria Posada. There will be live music, a silent auction, art, craft vendors and more. The La Raza Galeria Posada is a nonprofit cultural center and public place offering Latino and other art exhibitions, art education programs, workshops, films and concerts.

When: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Historic night in Folsom
What: "Night in History," sponsored by the Folsom Historical Society, will relive 150 years of the city's history. Activities include gold panning, doll making, stories of the Old West, music, a square-dancing exhibition, historical figures and more.

When: 5:30 to 9 p.m.
Cost: General, $35; $15 children 12 and younger.

East Sacramento sounds
What: Ecuador-born guitarist Ivan Najera will perform at Bertha Henschel Park. The event, to feature Spanish, Latin and jazz-flavored rhythms, is part of the Pops in the Park concert series.

Weekend forecast: Fair
What: "Race to the Fair" is the theme of the Placer County Fair, which runs through this weekend in Roseville. Entertainment and other attractions will fill the grounds. There will also be races both nights at the All American Speedway.
Where: 800 All American City Blvd., Roseville.
When: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. both days.
Cost: Fair admission: Adults (16-59), $5; seniors 60 and older, youths (age 6 to 15) and active military $3; children 5 and younger, free. Parking $5. Separate admission for speedway events.

Musicians at CSUS
What: Eleven drum and bugle corps from across the nation will compete at the Moonlight Classic at Hornet Stadium. Each band will consist of percussion and brass sections and color guards.
