Goddard Systems Inc., which bills itself as the nation's top child care franchise, said it plans to add five sites and 100 jobs in the Sacramento area over the next two years.

GSI, headquartered in King of Prussia, Pa., has three locations in California, one in Rancho Cordova.

"Sacramento is a critical piece of our development strategy, as it will serve as our hub for growth throughout the state," said Tony Padulo, GSI's vice president of franchise development.

Over the past year, the nearly 400-site franchise has opened 19 new facilities, awarded another 35 and added more than 700 jobs nationwide.
