A bus shuttle will connect the zoo and Old Sacramento this summer.

The zoo is offering the shuttle because officials know that parking can be tight in Land Park. On weekends, parking around the zoo is at a premium with people flocking to Funderland amusement park, Fairytale Town, the zoo and the park.

The shuttle will run round trips from the Railroad Museum in Old Sacramento to the zoo.

The shuttle will run Saturdays and Sundays beginning this weekend and continue through Aug. 25 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Bus fare is $2 a person for a round trip. Children 1 and younger are free.
