The Placer SPCA is nearly out of dog and cat food to distribute to needy pet owners.

The agency provides free dog and cat food to people unable to afford to feed their companion animals, but supplies are "dangerously low," officials said. They are requesting donations.

Dog and cat food may be dropped off at the animal shelter at 150 Corporation Yard Road, Roseville.
