SAUSALITO
Waterfront art festival
As though the setting in itself isn’t enough with its views of Angel Island and San Francisco, you can feast your eyes on creative works at the 61st annual Sausalito Art Festival. The event is planned to coincide with the annual Sausalito Artists @ Work, when members’ studios are open for the Labor Day weekend.
Check out work from local artists and other artists from across the country, and taste gourmet food and sip wine on the waterfront. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sept. 1, and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sept. 2 on the waterfront of Sausalito.
Festival entertainment includes Lisa Marie Presley, “American Idol” runner-up Crystal Bowersox and local musicians.
Proceeds support the local arts community through student scholarships and donations to nonprofit arts organizations.
Admission is $25. For information, visit http://sausalitoartfestival.org.
