For those who recently returned from San Francisco’s Outside Lands ... don’t put away that lawn blanket just yet.

Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, that magnificent (and free) concert in Golden Gate Park, has announced its 2014 lineup. Running Oct. 3-5, the festival hosts more than 100 acts performing across seven stages.

A quick scan of the bill offers plenty of reasons to start planning a trip to the city – an assortment of acts new and legendary, as well as bands that push against expectations of inclusion.

A sampling: Emmylou Harris, Steve Earle, Ryan Adams (on the heels of the release of his new self-titled record), Dawes, Jason Isbell, Lucinda Williams, T Bone Burnett, Yo La Tengo, Social Distortion, X, Connor Oberst, The Flatlanders (featuring Joe Ely, Jimmie Dale Gilmore & Butch Hancock), Tweedy, The Lone Bellow and many, many more.
