Dina Kupfer didn’t have to go far for her new job.
Kupfer, who left ABC10 last week after five years with the station, anchored her first show with CBS13 on Wednesday morning. She’ll be behind the desk from 5 to 7 a.m., then move over to the station’s flagship Good Day Sacramento program, according to an Instagram post Tuesday night.
“This community is my home, and I am so honored to continue telling YOUR stories!” Kupfer wrote. “Thank you all for your kind notes and words of encouragement over these past few days. I am sincerely humbled and so very grateful for you all.”
Never miss a local story.
A University of Oregon alumna, Kupfer won a regional Emmy award for transportation/traffic reporting last year.
Kupfer’s decision to stay within the Sacramento market elicited appreciation from viewers on social media.
Former Good Day Sacramento anchor Melissa Cabral left the program and television in general in March.
