If you’ve been looking to unload some old items from the deepest recesses your garage or storage unit, and hoping for some national airtime as well, this will come as welcome news.
According to The Merced Sun-Star, the History Channel reality show “American Pickers” is coming in March to Northern California, where hosts Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz will be rummaging around the region. The show features the two on the hunt for antiques and other rarities from private collections, not businesses, which can later be re-sold.
“They’re looking for anything interesting; from old signage to motorcycles and any vintage memorabilia,” Tamar Herman, a casting associate, told The Sun-Star.
Of course, this is TV, so “American Pickers” producers also will be on the hunt for local antique owners who are colorful characters as well.
Never miss a local story.
If you’ve got a collection that’s ripe for picking, and aren’t camera shy, contact the show and leave a description of your items: 855-OLD-RUST (855-653-7878) or AmericanPickers@cineflix.com.
