Boaters going to Folsom Lake over Labor Day weekend should bring a book, as low water levels have led to the closing of three boat ramps, according to a press release.
Officials with the California Department of Parks and Recreation said that boaters can expect long lines as the increased demand will only be serviced by two ramps.
The ramps available are at Browns Ravine in El Dorado County and Granite Bay in Placer County. Rattlesnake Bar, Folsom Point and Peninsula boat ramps are closed, the release said. The Granite Bay site also has limited parking, the release said, and visitors should expect long lines for launching and long walks from parking.
