A new four-story parking structure in Folsom's historic district will open today at Reading and Leidesdorff streets.
The public is invited to attend the opening festivities at 3 p.m. at the Reading Street entrance near the light-rail plaza.
Festivities will include a ribbon-cutting, classic cars and entertainment by a barbershop quartet.
The $13.6 million parking structure has more than 300 free parking spaces, most with a three-hour time limit, a ground-level bike station and 4,000 square feet of retail space.
