You can walk, run or cheer the crowd of serious (and not-so-much) walkers and runners from the sidelines. You choose your own speed at Saturday’s 15th annual Race For the Arts, beginning with a 5K run-walk at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, followed by a Kids Fun Run at 9:30 a.m. The 5K run is timed by B Tag. Registration opens at 7 a.m. at shady William Land Park, 15th Avenue and Land Park Drive.

After the walking and running are over, stay for the good eats and arts festival — music, staged entertainment and hands-on experiences at more than 30 interactive booths. Joining the scene will be Flint, Sam, Pickle and Barry, costumed characters from Sony Pictures Animation’s upcoming “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.” This year’s themed artwork is by internationally renowned Sacramento artist Wayne Thiebaud.
