Onlookers lined Capitol Mall this morning to watch a good old-fashioned cattle drive from West Sacramento, across the Tower Bridge and toward the state capitol.
The event marks the launch of an exciting and fun week of festivities in and around the city. Most of the events are free and open to the general public.
The cattle were well behaved throughout the march, with those lining the street craning to get a glimpse and a few photos. The cows never even flinched when they sauntered past Morton’s The Steakhouse.
Stay tuned for more coverage and photos of the cattle drive in Tuesday’s Bee, as well as coverage of the Farm-To-Fork festival this week.
