The well-stocked delicatessen at Corti Bros. Market made Food & Wine magazine’s list of the nation’s 22 best delicatessens.

“There are few things better than an iconic American delicatessen, where high-quality ingredients and oversize servings are the norm,” writes Roger Kamholz at the online site.

Of Corti Bros., he says, “This Italian grocery takes its delicacies seriously—so seriously, in fact, that it’s been publishing a lengthy newsletter about its offerings since 1967. Their deli sandwiches are legendary for a reason.”

Corti Bros. joins two other California delis on the list — Saul’s in Berkeley ( www.saulsdeli.com) and Wise Sons in San Francisco ( www.wisesonsdeli.com).

Corti Bros. Market is at 5810 Folsom Blvd, Sacramento; (916) 736-3800, www.cortibros.biz.
