Notes: Right-hander Kirk Saarloos cleared waivers and will start for the River Cats on Monday against Omaha at Raley Field, according to Sacramento manager Todd Steverson. Saarloos had no record for the A's in two relief appearances. He started the season with the River Cats and was 2-0 with a 2.45 ERA in two starts.
