Sacramento Crisis Nursery will present one tea from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday Dec. 7 at Del Paso Country Club, 3333 Fulton Ave. Each child will go home with a Teddy Bear. Festivities will include face painting, music and dancing, a magic show, a children's meal and traditional high tea for the adults. Teddy & Friends will visit. Rocklin School District. The 13th annual Toast of the Town will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Rocklin Event Center, 2650 Sunset Blvd., Rocklin. Art and appetizers are on the menu with treats provided by more than 30 community chefs and 35 wineries.
Child Abuse Prevention Council. Dine Under the Stars ... and Be a Star for Kids will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Screeching Owl Ranch, 33912 South River Road, Clarksburg. The ranch is the home of the John Lambeths he is the councils board chair. Local seasonal ingredients will be the focus of the dining part of the event. Among those providing food and wine will be the Grange, Clarksburg Wine Company, Elevation 10, Hook and Ladder, Ella, Tuli Bistro, Bogle Vineyards, Bonitata Boutique Wine, Miners Leap, Sean Minor Wines, Beringer, Chateau St. Jean, Etude and Don Sebastiani & Sons. The Unsupervised will provide the dance/listening music. The name? It matches some of the band members and their titles: Sacramento County Supervisor Phil Serna and, from Yolo County, Supervisor Mike McGowan, Mayor Pro Tem Chris Ledesma and former Mayor Cindy Tuttle of West Sacramento.
