Award-winning news reporter Kevin Oliver, who covered the U.S. aerospace industry in Florida, will join Sacramento television station Channel 3 (KCRA) on Dec. 10.
Oliver comes to Sacramento from ABC affiliate WFTV in Orlando, where he has worked for nine years.
During that time, Oliver's NASA coverage ranged from construction of the International Space Station to the end of the space shuttle program.
He also reported from Florida's eastern coast during one of the state's worst hurricane seasons in 2004. Previous to WFTV, Oliver worked at TV stations in Medford, Ore., and Spokane, Wash.
"Kevin is a great fit for KCRA," said Lori Waldon, KCRA's news director.
Oliver is a California native, born in Long Beach, and graduated from the University of Southern California with a double major in political science and broadcast journalism.
