Head to head: The Hornets that the Kings faced in the Oct. 31 regular-season opener were expected to be a formidable bunch, but nothing nearly as dangerous as they've become. Thus, the Kings were caught a bit off guard by a 104-90 loss that wasn't nearly as close as the score indicated. They returned the favor on Feb. 1, downing New Orleans 112-103.
Hornets update: With the Hornets making a serious run at the Western Conference title, the good folks in New Orleans have had plenty of reason to feel good about the team. Attendance has soared at home games as well, leaving room for hope that the team might not be on its way out of town.
