Fresno and Clovis was hit with multiple power outages Sunday evening – leaving thousands without air conditioning as temperatures lingered above 100 degrees.
Power was restored to most around 11 p.m., though PG&E reported 818 customers in Fresno and 40 in Clovis were without power.
At 7:59 p.m., PG&E reported that 3,029 customers near Herndon and Clovis avenues were experiencing an outage.
At the same time, PG&E reported 1,834 customers near Polk and Sierra avenues were without power.
It is unknown if the two outages are connected. Both are under investigation.
Earlier Sunday, more 2,000 northeast Fresno customers were without power due to underground equipment failure. As of 7 p.m., that number was down to 460 customers east of Woodward park near Behymer and Willow avenues.
