Four weeks into an overdue budget, and when Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger was in Tahoe on Wednesday, here's what he had to say about it:
"Whenever it is -- whenever the day of when the budget is supposed to be done, whenever we get past that day, I'm concerned.
"So every day I'm concerned, because what I don't want to have happen is that people start not getting paid in California. We want to make sure that everyone gets their paychecks and that we can pay and pass the budget.
"I think the time has come now to solve this problem and to come to an agreement. And I hope that by tomorrow the Senate will have a budget deal and we'll pass the budget, so we can move on to extremely important issues like health care, water storage, conveyance and all of those kinds of issues."
