1. UNLICENSED HANDYMEN STING VO/SOT
A plethora of government agencies are announcing the completing this morning of a two-day sting operation that focused on targeting unlicensed construction, locksmith, computer repair and appliance repair businesses. The agencies, including the Contractors State License Board, say such unlicensed operations perform fraudulent or substandard repairs, and a a major part of the underground economy. The Cal Expo Board of Directors this morning will consider a request by a representative of the NBA to begin formal discussions on developing a combined sports arena for the Sacramento Kings and entertainment complex at California Exposition, the state fairgrounds in Sacramento. 3. SUICIDE PREVENTION OFFICE VO/SOT
The Mental Health Services and Oversight Accountability Commission will consider proposals to create a state office of suicide prevention. Efforting soundbites and video.
4. NATIVE AMERICAN DAY CELEBRATION VO/SOT
Native Americans will celebrate the 40th annual Native American Day Celebration at the State Capitol. The event recognizes tribal government leaders and features Native American art and dancing. Efforting soundbites and video.

Veterans Readjustment -- The Sierra College Veterans Club is sponsoring an event today on the issues facing Iraq War veterans as they attempt to reenter civilian life. Speaking at the event will be Shad Meshad and Patrick Campbell, two authorities on readjustment issues.
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger is in Sonora, Mexico for the Border Governor's Conference.
The Senate and Assembly have adjourned for the 2007 session. Special session is ongoing. The 2008 session begins January 7th.
