The wet weather may be to blame for two power outages early this morning in Sacramento County.
About 4,000 Sacramento Municipal Utilities District customers lost power about 2:45 a.m. near the Bruceville and Sheldon roads area of Elk Grove, said Robert Tokunaga, a SMUD spokesperson.
Crews restored power by about 4 a.m.
About 1,500 Natomas residents lost power about 5:30 a.m. Power there was out for about an hour, he said.
In both instances, the circuit breakers tripped, Tokunaga said.
SMUD officials do not yet know what caused the breakers to trip, but "it might have been weather related," he said.
