A new, full-service 106,000-square-foot physical rehabilitation center will be debuted Wednesday at the Sutter Roseville Medical Center, according a hospital news release.
The center, which is the first of its kind for the region, is designed for patients and their families following strokes, trauma, brain and spinal cord injuries and other disabling conditions.
The facility is equipped with 40 beds and space for another 15 beds in the future. There is an outdoor therapeutic area, a 3,000-square-foot gym and an apartment designed for independent living for patients and their families to help ease into the transition to home.
The grand opening will be at 10:30 a.m. at the facility located on the northern end of the hospital at Sunrise Avenue and Roseville Parkway. The facility will start accepting patients Dec. 8, hospital officials said.
