Authors, artists and a local winery will join forces to raise funds Sunday for the El Dorado County-based American Mustang Foundation.
Mustangs & Merlot will begin at 4 p.m. in the garden of the Venezio Winery and Vineyard, off Highway 49, between Pilot Hill and Cool.
Special guest Deanne Stillman, author of "Mustang: The Saga of the Wild Horse in the American West," will read from and sign her book. Featured guests include cowboy poet Gary Lowe and area equine artists B.K. England and Leslie Ann Webb.
A donation of $40 in advance, or $50 at the door, is requested. Tickets are available at www.mustangfoundation.org through PayPal. They also can be purchased at Singing Springs Custom Feed in Pilot Hill, Cool Feed and Supply in Cool or at the Venezio Winery.
