Sacramento-area residents can expect mild fall weather today.
Clouds that spit a few drops of rain Friday will hang around today, said Steve Goldstein, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Sacramento. But temperatures are expected to reach a high around 67 degrees.
Overnight temperatures, however, will dip into the 30s. Although lows are likely to stay above freezing, Goldstein said frost warnings have been issued for agricultural areas in the valley.
Temperatures in the Sierra and Lake Tahoe area today will be in the 50s, dropping to around 20 degrees overnight. Some areas may see light snow showers, but Goldstein said the snow isn't likely to stick.
Highs in the 60s also are forecast for the valley Sunday.
There is a slight chance of rain Monday night and early Tuesday, Goldstein said, but no significant rainfall is expected during the coming week. Highs in the low to mid 60s are forecast through the work week, he said.
