Sacramento Child Advocates. The first Red Baron Ball will be at 6 p.m. Sept. 27 at the Aerospace Museum of California, 3200 Freedom Park Drive, McClellan Park. The event will include a martini bar, signature samplings from Sacramento's finest restaurants, a DJ and more. EuroSunday will provide a display of exotic motor vehicles. Tickets are $75; drink tickets will be $3. Ticket holders for the Red Baron Ball may take part in the Rally4Kids automotive rally event on Sept. 28. Visit www.sacchildadv.org or call (916) 364-2365.

Loretto High School. "Coast to Coast – A Fashionable Journey" themes the luncheon fashion show Sept. 27 at the Radisson Hotel, 500 Leisure Lane. Festivities begin at 11 a.m.; showtime and lunch at noon. Prizes include a week in Europe for two, a week at Lake Tahoe, and $500 in gas cards. California Museum. Friends of the museum are invited to a preview of the new Cosmo Café at 6 p.m. Sept. 20 at 10th and K streets in downtown Sacramento. Tickets are $100 per person, tax deductible. Call Leslie Arnell at (916) 651-0936.

Friends of the Clarksburg Library. The 20th Wines of Clarksburg tasting party will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sept. 21 at the Holland Land Co. headquarters in Clarksburg. Fourteen wineries with the Clarksburg appellation will participate. Gourmet food and a silent auction are on the agenda. Tickets are $35 per person in advance, $45 at the event. Asian Pacific Community Counseling. "Innovations in Mental Health: Implementing the Vision" themes the Dragon Dinner from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 12 at the Sacramento State Alumni Center. The APCC provides mental health services to Asian and Pacific Islander communities. Tickets are $80; call Mary Ninh at (916) 383-6784, ext. 121.

Scandinavian Festival. A celebration of Nordic heritage will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 13 at Divine Savior Catholic Church, 9079 Greenback Lane, Orangevale. The 25th festival will feature Scandinavian foods, arts and crafts, dancing and music. Adult admission is $4; children 12 and under are free. The public is invited. Call (916) 682-4888.

Asian Community Center Nursing Home. The 22nd annual fundraiser will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Elks Lodge, 6446 Riverside Blvd. Tickets are $75; call (916) 393-9026, ext. 224, or pick up at the community center, 7375 Park City Drive.

UC Davis Leukemia-Lymphoma Research. Second Saturday with a Cause will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sept. 13 at the Secret Garden, 10119 Fair Oaks Blvd. in Fair Oaks Village. Proceeds help support the research of Dr. Joseph Tuscano.
