Kidney Foundation fundraiser names author lineup

One of Sacramento's premiere literary events is coming up.

The National Kidney Foundation of Northern California will present its 14th annual Authors Luncheon at 10 a.m. Nov. 8 at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento, 1209 L St.

Seven nationally known authors will be at the fund-raiser for book-signings, personal chats and discussions of their craft and works in progress. Their books will be for sale at the venue.

The authors are John Grogan ("Marley & Me: Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog"), Nick Heil ("Dark Summit: The True Story of Everest's Most Controversial Season"), David Kamp ("The United States of Arugula"), Katherine Neville ("The Fire"), Simon Winchester ("The Man Who Loved China"), Brian Copeland ("Not a Genuine Black Man") and Jennifer Basye Sander ("The Complete Idiot's Guide to Being Published").
