The Sacramento Monarchs will close out the 2009 season at 6 tonight at Arco Arena against the Minnesota Lynx.

And while it's the end of the WNBA season, it's just the beginning of another season – fall fashion!

The team is looking forward to trading in athletic apparel, including shoes, socks, shorts, jerseys and, yes, Under Armour, for fashion-forward clothing.

Stilettos and jeans are key!

The Bee visited with four of the players – Rebekkah Brunson, Ticha Penicheiro, Scholanda Robinson and DeMya Walker – plus assistant coach Monique Ambers at Arco to find out what the women have on their must-have fashion lists.

Monique Ambers

Height: 6-foot-4

Position: Assistant coach

Her style: Classy, sophisticated

Must haves: "I'm a jeans and boots girl, and I like dresses, too. They seem to have made a fashion comeback. I shop for my long pants online at tallgirlshop.com and tallgirl.com. As for shoes, I'm a size 12, so I go with whatever fits, especially Linea Paolo. My mom helps me shop."

On her iPod, she's listening to: Jagged Edge. "I'm into old school."

DeMya Walker

Height: 6-foot-3

Position: Forward

Age: 31

Her style: Sexy, sassy, confident

Must-haves: "Dresses, especially shorter ones, make perfect shirts for me. And I love heels. I was taught to be proud of my height and not slouch over. For fall, I'm already looking for some great boots."

What's up for the off-season: "I'm going overseas after going home to Houston."

Rebekkah Brunson

Height: 6-foot-2

Position: Forward

Age: 27

Her style: Upscale, urban, modern

Must-haves: "I love shoes and jewelry! I buy Converse all the time. And jeans, too. Rock & Republic and True Religion are two brands I like. And there's my favorite pair of jeans with a hole in the knee."

What's up for the off-season: "I'll go overseas to play, but I'm hoping to see a Washington Redskins game first."

Ticha Penicheiro

Height: 5-foot-11

Position: Point guard

Age: 34

Her style: Euro-chic

Must-haves: "I like to try clothes on, and I do a lot of shopping in Europe. I appreciate styles that make you feel like a woman. My favorite things are watches, shoes and accessories. Shopping is a process, and my mom is the only person who has the patience."

What's up for the off-season: "I haven't decided. My body needs rest!"

Scholanda Robinson

Height: 5-foot-11

Position: Guard

Age: 26

Her style: Young, hip mom

Must-haves: "I'm really girly, but my style is simple. I love dresses, but I'm also comfortable in jeans and a T-shirt. Skinny jeans are the best thing created for a tall woman. For fall, I've got my eyes on a brown Gucci bag."

What's up for the off-season: "I'm going back to Georgia to be with my husband and daughter."
