'BUCKS FOR DUCKS' FOCUSES ON NATURE
The Yolo Basin Foundation will hold its 19th annual fundraiser, "Bucks for Ducks," from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Veterans Memorial Center, 203 E. 14th St., Davis.

WARREN MILLER'S 'DYNASTY'

Find out what to do if you get lost in a Sierra winter storm at a two-hour winter survival workshop Dec. 12 (at Sorensen's Resort (east of the junction of highways 88 and 89 in Hope Valley).
Members of the nonprofit, all-volunteer Tahoe Nordic Search and Rescue Team will lead an easy snowshoe and cross-country ski trek to cover planning and preparation, proper dress and equipment, emergency shelters and more.
Cost is $25 for lodge guests, $50 non-lodging guests (will benefit TNSRT rescue efforts).
